As for my story….

First of all, I want to say I LOVE my last record Embers To Ashes. “You Gonna Miss Me” from that release was in the top 10 songs for 2011 in the Dallas Observer.  I don’t know if you realize how odd a thing it is for an artist to say, but we truly are our own worst enemy when it come to our art. However,

I loved making that record, and 90 percent of the reason why, was the people who were part of it. 

For this new record, I get to go back in the studio with my crew: producer, Chris Masterson (also playing guitar), engineer Steve Christensen, Falcon Valdez on drums, George Reiff on bass, and my sister Eleanor Whitmore on vocals and fiddle. Let me tell you my friends, it does NOT get any better than this. I would take these guys to World Series of recording and WIN, and I am lucky enough to call them family. 

You may also know Chris and Eleanor as The Mastersons and from playing in Steve Earle’s band, among other projects.  This is the same cast and crew that recorded the highly acclaimed record, Birds Fly South, from The Mastersons.  

The music business has never been easy, and now more then ever, an artist has to really be passionate about what they do in order to stick with it. I know I can’t make this record without the help from you. I can’t express how grateful I am that we have the ability to reach out to so many and that so many are willing to help!
